Rules for Spider | Simply Mac Solitaire
Card Layout: There are two decks of cards in total with 10 piles on the tableau (top cards are face up), and 44 cards dealt onto the piles. The first four piles have five cards, the other six piles contain four cards. (You may also choose a variation that deals 54 cards with the first four piles containing six cards. See Main Menu) There's a stock pile and eight foundation piles.
To Win the Game: All cards must fit onto the eight foundation piles, each pile must contain 13 cards by suit in descending order starting with a King and ending with an Ace.
To Play the Game: Build cards on the tableau pile in descending order (decreasing in value) by using any top facing card, with the Ace always following a 2. Groups of face up cards (in order) on a tableau pile may be moved as a group to another pile.
If you have an empty pile, you may put any card (does not necessarily have to be a King) on that empty spot and build down from that point.
If you come to an impass and cannot move any cards, draw from the stock pile. The stock pile deals one card to the top of each pile on the tableau until you run out of stock cards.
Once you fill an entire set of 13 descending ordered piles starting from King ending with an Ace, it is only at that point that you are able to move it to the foundation.
